Return of Idlewild x CONTAINER
We’re proud to partner with CONTAINER, a mobile artist residency that travels across Detroit using reimagined shipping containers as creative labs. CONTAINER uplifts mid-career Black artists across food, fashion, visual art, and music — giving them space, resources, and visibility to grow their practice.
This partnership is meaningful because it connects two historic centers of Black creativity: Detroit and Idlewild. By featuring CONTAINER’s musical residents at our concert, we’re honoring lineage, building new cultural pathways, and bringing contemporary Black artistry back to Black Eden.

A cultural retreat in Black Eden
Return of Idlewild is a four-day, all-inclusive cultural retreat rooted in the legacy of Idlewild, Michigan. Weekend tickets include lodging, meals, programming, and concert access—so once you arrive, everything is taken care of.
